Why an AI-assisted build isn't less secure.
The worry is reasonable: if a machine wrote it, who checked it? The honest answer is that AI doesn't produce a different kind of software. It writes the same frameworks, the same databases, the same authentication libraries a developer would reach for — it just writes them faster.
What actually makes software insecure is almost never the language it was written in. It's an unpatched dependency, a secret left in the code, a form that trusts whatever a user types, permissions nobody reviewed. Those are process failures, and the process here is the same one a security-certified engineer would run by hand.
